Polar is a classically constructed Gansey sweater that is knit seamlessly with gussets, featuring twisted cables, diamonds, and a compass design, which you can choose to work in a contrasting colour or simplify using purl bumps.

Needles: 3.25mm (US 3) double-pointed needles (dpns), for neck gussets or a short 40cm circular needle - 3.75mm (US 5) circular needles, 80cm - 3.75mm (US 5) double-pointed needles sleeves or use magic loop method - 4mm (US 6) double pointed needles (dpns), for the collar.
