Matiz is an aran weight, 100% wool yarn from Portuguese company Retrosaria, spun from two native sheep breeds – Campaniça and Merino Preto. The natural character of these wools gives Matiz its depth of colour and rustic charm while still being soft enough for everyday wear.

The palette is built on the natural fleece shades:

• A – an undyed white from Campaniça wool
• D – an undyed deep brown from Merino Preto
• C – a natural marl, blending both breeds

From there, additional shades are created by dyeing the wool itself, giving the colours a heathered richness and subtle variations that knit up beautifully.
